I am considering buying a 2002 BMW X5 with 60000 miles. It is a 3.0 6 cylinder. I saw on the maintenance history at the dealership that the previous owner had the "harness connection" (I think that is what it was) fixed. Is this a serious problem with the electrical system? Could it indicate other issues with the electrical system on these cars?

Are X5's of this year and make generally of good quality and reliability?

Thanks

Your question about the wiring harness connector
repair is difficult to answer without knowing
which harness being referred to.
Be careful you are not buying someone else's problem child. Have a pre-purchase inspection performed by someone not associated with the seller and be sure to get all of the history to said inspector.
good luck with your purchase.
