Car Front Engine Cover not open

i have BMW X5 4.4I 2002 it is used car>
i open the Car Front Engine Cover to check the engine oil after its appear on the front screen>
then i shut the cover down then i want to open it again it not open why???

It sounds like you are having trouble getting the hood open, yes? I am sorry I am not sure I understand the Question
