This has happened in our 2008 and our 2007 BMW X3's. We get water leaking into the floor panels of each side, back and front. We just had it happen recently and the service guy tells us it's from the sun roof getting jammed with stuff and overflowing... meanwhile we've never had the sunroof open (Florida)!! Simple physics and common sense says that not enough water streaming through a tiny outlet from the sunroof can SOAK the floor boards and it's still wet after 2 weeks!! Help, I know something is screwy but I cannot prove it.
Thanks for your time and effort! Faith in Boca

I know BMW has been having a sealing problem with the panoramic sunroofs, replacement of the cassette seems to be the solution, along with sealant at the leading edge. I will see if there is a bulletin to refer to when taking your X3 to be serviced. Back asap
