Electrical problem
1985 Other BMW Models 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 140000 miles

the battery recently died so i recharged it and when i put it on the alarm would not go off. the key only unlocks the trunk not the doors and the button on the remote doesnt work. car does not start so i removed the wire to disconnect alarm, but the engine still will not start. makes a low humming noise. is the alarm still not letting it start?
