A few months ago, I notice a very light jerking, here and there though it did not impact the drivability. The car consumes quite a bit of oil, so I usually have to add a quart here and there.

About a week ago, I noticed the vehicle shaking while it started- a day later, the check engine light came on and it started rattling excessively.
Multiple codes came on, that included:
Cylinder 7 Misfire
Cylinder 4 Misfire
Cylinder 6 Misfire
Cylinder 5 Misfire (multiple)
Cylinder 3 Misfire
Exhaust Camshaft Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2) – P0300
Cold Start ‘’B’’ Camshaft Position Timing Performance Bank 2 – P05CF
Glow Plug Control Module Circuit Range/Performance – P13B7
Transmission System Fault – P176B
Battery Voltage is below normal (11.3 V).

So far what’s been done – all the spark plugs, and ignition coils were replaced (approx. 2 months ago).
Also, replaced the PVC values (Breather hoses, connecting lines on both sides).

Not sure what is going on at this point. Please help!

The "rattling" is the concern which can cause all of these codes but the low battery voltage. If the battery is bad, it may even have an effect on the engine misfire, glow plug and camshaft codes. I would upload a short video of the engine noise from under the hood so I can hear what the problem is, and I would remove the battery and have it tested at the local auto parts store. Here is how to remove the battery and its location which is in the trunk. Be sure to clear the codes if they find the battery needs replacement. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hello Ken,
Thanks for replying. I replaced the battery which definitely helped. Thanks for that tip. The car is still rattling which I've uploaded some videos of the engine and exhaust.

Yep, it sounds like the camshaft actuators, turbos or the engine is having a valve issue. The turbos can cause the noise out from the exhaust. But I think we should do a compression test to see if the engine is okay. I have seen dirty and low engine oil cause the actuators not to work so I would change the oil and filter to see if that helps.

Here is a guide to help check the compression:

Please go over this guide and get back to us.
