1999 BMW 740 p1420 secondary air circute electrical

Please be patient, I have sent your link to our resident BMW doctor..........

If the fault was set for secondary air then there is a possibility that there is some restriction/occlusion built up inside the air injection ports and the carbon build-up will need to be removed, or the secondary air pump/secondary air injection valve is not working correctly. How were the fault codes extracted, what device was used?

i've used two difrent devises one from o'raileys and the other one from my friends shop and they both came up with the same code p1420 i would realy apretiate if u could give me a call if u can i can tell u a little bit better on whats been going on with the car my number is 979-627-3494
