My car runs excellent one day I tried to back up and it wouldn't go in reverse???

Does this mean I would need a new transmission? Going forward it drives fine doesn't slip or anything???

Please healp I don't want to get ripped off .

There might be a problem inside the shift body, I dont think it needs a new transmission and I will repost another solution ASAP when I get the story straight, please stand-by.
