1993 BMW 740 low oil pressure warning on computer

i noticed a little oil leak on my driveway. Then the low oil pressure warning came on. I checked the oil levels and they are ok what could be the problem ?

It could be a failing oil pressure sensor. It is on the oil filter housing.
