My battery went dead.I had have hard time opening the doors.put a new battery and now it won't take the radio code.what should I do?

The radio will need to be left in the "on" position for an hour and then try the code again. Recheck the code and be sure it is correct. If the wrong code is entered three times it locks up the radio.
