1988 Other BMW Models front seat fuses

E-32 fuse box is located under the hood on the drivers side and the fuse legend is under the lid, I don't recall which fuse controls the seat, sorry, I will research this and repost when I get to work. Are the seat(s) not working?

The seats were working and then the right side back motor went out on the drivers seat. The drivers seat was removed and I changed the entire back on the drivers seat. Now both seats will not work. There isn't any click or sound or motion when the switches are used. If I can't get them to work I need to find out what type of vehicle/manual controled seat would be the easiest to replace these electronic seats. The car was a $400.00 project car, a get a rounder, so electric seats are not a big priority right now. The only problem is the drivers seat is now in the fully reclined position. Thanks for any and all help.

It seems that if the seats were working and now they do not, there is something unplugged or not reassembled correctly. If you intentions are to replace the seats then there are options available, however, the seat back being fully reclined is correctable by isolating the motor that controls that function and putting power to it to raise the seat back to an appropriate spot that you can live with.

I actually tried the jump the motor move and then came in to look up your site to see if you had replied. Then I went back to the Bimmer salvage yard and got a new base, since the motor doesn't respond on the old seat. With a little elbow grease I will change the seat cover over and install the working seat. Thanks a bunch for the clues and help.
