car keeps turning off what can it be and will it be expensive to fix?

I want to try to help you. I request more information in order to have a reasonable expectation of success. What is happening with the "car keeps turning off"? Do you mean it quits running? Has professional local assistance been involved yet? Have you consulted the history of the car? Is it out of gas? What else do you need to tell me?

So I get the car does not idle well in gear, is this the case.
