2001 BMW 530i alternator

First, take the battery out of the circuit. Then remove the airbox. Then, remove the cap from the tensioner pulley and release the tension and remove the belt. There are two bolts holding it in place, one is behind the cap on the deflection pulley. Get those out and the wiring on the back and out it comes.
