My ABS warning light and "triangular" warding symbol comes on. The result is my speedometer, odometer, an cruise do not work. Can you offer advise on how to remedy, dealership will charge a bomb I'm sure? Thank you.

You are looking at the replacement of the DSC control module and no, it is not cheap for a new one. Try calling (619)444-2290 and ask for John or Sean, this is a salvage yard for BMW and Porsche and they might have one a lot cheaper than the 1100 bucks it would cost you at the dealer.

I have been called names before and you are not making any friends with that attitude pal. If you have the same training and qualifications as I do, then you get to have your say. I am guessing you are just tired of being jerked around and you are taking it out on me, that is fine. If I am asked a question about BMW cars, why wouldn't I answer the question correctly. Usually the fault that was reported as a wheel speed sensor is not the wheel speed sensor at all, it is the control module. That has been my experience, and I have over 20 years of repairing German cars, if you wish to take me to task over this issue then contact the administrator of the site and do not sully my good name again. Good day to you.

[quote:df4e77aa35="Jububb"]this dr. hagerty jerk is just trying to sell dsc control modules, the REAL problem lies within the speed sensor circuit, i'm having the same problem with my car and i have narrowed it down to either a bad wheel speed sensor or the sensor on the tailshaft of the transmission but due to the SERIOUS lack of FREE/cheap technical info, its difficult. who has $130 for a bentley repair manual and another $1200+ for a bmw abs code scanner?? plus parts. not me.[/quote:df4e77aa35]

This type of post is totally uncalled for. If you cannot answer the original posters question, then be quiet.

You could have said " While Dr. Hagerty's answer is possible I believe xxxxxxxx".

Your post is deleted until you can act civilized.
