I was driving on the freeway and suddelnly my car started heating - the temp gauge was in red. I heard something blowing and saw water sprayed on my windshield. I saw steam/smoke coming out of the car. I stopped on the side and had the car towed to the nearest pep boys. They said that the radiator was cracked. So they have to replace the radiator + radiator hoses and the thermostat.

How do I tell that what they are telling me is true? Do I have to replace all three?

What should be the labor cost.
p.s. I will donate some money for sure but i left the wallet in my car at pep boys which is 60 miles away. I promise I will make a donation when I get my wallet back tomorrow.

please help!

At the age and mileage of the vehicle, I would say the shop performing the repairs is doing the right thing.
