2006 BMW 525i oxygen sensors

What is your need to access these sensors?

Check Engine light came on. Accesed my on board computer, with my hand held diagnostic tester. its bring up the code for the oxygen sensor before the catylics converter. Need to inspect to verify, before taking the vehicle to the mechanic shop. Thanks!
