I had my drive belts or V belts changed at about 64,000 miles. I have about 130,000 miles. At how many miles does the drive belts or V belts have to be changed before they break and cause engine damage.

Hi there,

Good preventative maintenance starts with the service department checking the belts at every service, there is no set time to replace external accessories drive belts, they should be replace when they are showing signs of wear. this should be very evident well before any failure can happen, so make sure that the service department do there job and do the inspections as required.
