1998 BMW 525i Noise emanating from a/c controls

Noises problem
1998 BMW 525i 6 cyl Automatic

A low " drum rolling" noise is emanating from the area of the a/c controls/vent. You really need to listen carefully to hear it.

This noise continues even after the engine is turned off and key removed.

Please advise the likely cause of the problem and how to correct it.

Cyberspace is somewhat restrictive as to the transmission of noises and I don't like just guessing without all the facts present. It is possible however that what you are hearing is normal noises generated from actuators or perhaps their linkages and I would consider this normal and there might not be any correction available. ♥
