Over heats when parked

I have a 1990 BMW 525I straight 6 with 150k Miles on it runs like a dream never over heat while am driving it but if i parked it and kept it running for over a 5 minutes it will over heat once i start driving it again it will cool down, so what should i check in this case i appreciate any help.

With the age and mileage of the vehicle, I would say that the fan clutch is failing at it's duty. The part number you need to ask for is 11-52-7-502-804. Have a cool day.
