I have two of these cars...BMW 525i, 1995. One has 105K miles and the dealer has replaced its condensor, drier, and expansion valve 30K ago. Puts out cold air, but the compressor cycles on/off apporximately every 10-15 seconds, and each time I hear a gentle "sigh" from within the dash. The other one has 25K miles, and only the compressor and drier have been been replaced 1K ago. It does not seem to "cycle" at all, and the air is not as cold as the "cycler". Which one do you think is operating correctly? Is the cycling a sign of a problem? If so, what component? Should I be concerned, or just enjoy the cold air while it lasts?

The car that is cold and cycles the clutch is normal. The other is possibly low on refrigerant.
