Near the end of a 100 mile drive I noticed the throttle was up near 2,000 rpms rather than down at 900rpms. After driving around some more the throttle will return to about 1,000 rpms when the clutch isn't depressed. When switching gears i need to keep the clutch depressed much longer in order for the rpms to come down low enough to shift properly. If I don't then the car jerks slightly.

Could be a sticky ICV or as it is sometimes called the IAC or a dirty throttle plate, or both.
