You didn't answer my question-What problems are you having? The fuel pump can go at anytime there's no guarantee it will go the life of the vehicle. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. To check if its malfunctioning-check the fuel pressure this will tell you if its operating properly

The 335 has more than one pump and there is no reason to work on a car still covered under factory warranty.

It was most likely the high pressure fuel pump which failed, very common on the twin turbo motor. It is a poorly designed part with inner sealing problems which is why it failed.
