2002 BMW 330i has 89,000 miles. I took the car in for service-oil change, brake flush & fluid. Three days later the Check Engine light illuminated. Took it back to the dealer and they read the following codes: P 0740-Torque converter clutch circuit malfunction, P 0741-Torque converter clutch circuit performance or Stuck Off. and P2762. Other numbers: code 048 30 converter lock up clutch pre-tsb 21-03-06 milage 77108. I also had the module for general faults replaced on 4/5/06. The car rides well and I have seen no change in gas milage. The dealer recommends a new torque converter. I think there might be one or more bad sensors or a wiring problem or another computer problem. What can be done to verify the computer is telling the truth?
