Is this an E-90? There isn't a timing procedure and Vanos is directly related to the cam timing and does not require a separate procedure.

Do you know the motor's designation? Is it a N-52 or M-54?

There are several special tools required to set the vanos, the position of the cams, the intermediate chain, and the crankshaft. These tools may be cost prohibitive to buy and use but once, did you intend to follow through with this to completion?

I saw the E-bay posting, that is the VANOS tool, there is also the cam blocks and the pin for the crankshaft that is not included in that kit (at least that I could see) I did see that Baum tool has the pin, part# 112300, and the cam blocks part# 113240. The procedure is on my computer in storage, I will go to it today and repost the procedure before the close of business today, I promise, and thank you for being patient ♥
