A week ago, I had lost all radiator coolant after a blocked thermostat overheated the system. The expansion tank and "water pipe" needed to be replaced at total cost of $2500.
A few days later, I turned on the AC for the first time. I get cold air out of the front panel and hot air out of the defroster vent.
What is strange, is that if I close the defroster vent, the front vent changes to lukewarm air. Also, changing the temp gauge to hot does not change the temp of the air.
Do you think the coolant loss and the air condition vent malfunction are related? The AC worked fine before the repair but was not used since last summer.
Thanks
