Bmw Comuterised Heating Control

I have a 328i saloon p reg, it has electric heating control, and most days i start up the car and the heating never comes on for the whole time i am driving the car! Other days it will flicker on and off? Can you help or have you heard of this before?

I'm not sure that I understand what is flickering. Is it the motor or the actual temperature?
1) fan.
Check all the fuses.
Most, if not all cars, have a relay that controls the fan motor. Try to find the relay and check it. You might be able to switch it out with another relay to see if it is it.
2) temperature.
Check your antifreeze level.
