I've got a 1999 BMW 328i with 95,000 miles. I've had a problem for a while where I was unable to change the display to view the trip computer other settings (Avg MPG, temperature, etc). I marked it up to a faulty switch on the Steering column. I haven't drove the car for a few days (gone on vacation) and come back to the Tach not registering and the word "CodE" displayed where normal the odometer information would be displayed. I checked all the fuses and disconnected the battery for a while to see if that would reset anything, it didn't work. Everything above is still true but now add to it that the speedometer doesn't work and the gas gauge is showing empty (with the low fuel light on). I've personally not had very good experiences with the local BMW dealer, so I would appreciate any ideas before proceeding.
Thanks in advance!
