Cannot open the Doors?

I could not open the doors with the remote key. So I used to open it manually. Now I cannot even do that. When i use the remote the interior light of the car is switched on as in when the car is unlocked by the remote. However the car is not unlocked. How can i open the car and How can i solve this problem? How do I even drive it to the dealer ?

Hello,

It sounds like you have an issue with the door lock actuator.
It likely have failed in the lock position. There are small gears inside the actuator and overtime the plastic can brake with all the locking and unlocking.
When it fails it will not make connection when you turn the key to unlock and it will not unlock the vehicle.

In order to access the actuator you will have to first open the door.
Then you will have to remove the inner door panel. This will allow you to access the actuator.
