1997 BMW 328 windows and sunroof

There may be a fuse issue, check the legend on the inside of the lid of the fuse box, it may also be a module failure as the windows and sunroof are controlled by said module. The fault would be readable through the 20 pin diagnostic connector using the appropriate scanning tool or device. This connector is under the hood. Also I might try what BMW calls a master battery reset, which simply means, removing the negative lead off the battery, then with the battery disconnected, you touch the positive and negative battery leads together for 5 minutes, please be aware that you must have and/or know the radio code if it is still the stock radio, or the radio will display "code" and will require inputting this code before normal operation can resume. If this does not do anything to fix this issue then you may need to seek local professional assistance.
