we just replaced the fuel pump on my 94 325i today but its still not starting and the fuel pump isnt getting any power.

Was there a reason for replacing the fuel pump?
Did you check the fuse for the fuel pump and did you check/replace the fuel pump and main relays?

well i had went to a friends house then when i went to go start my car to leave and it wouldnt start. and this wasnt the first time it did this. when it first happend we took it and got it checked out and they said it was the relay and replaced it. but obviously that didnt work. and then the when it didnt work at my friends we messed around with the pump then it started to run. so we read the manual we had and all the signs lead to the fuel pump so now we are here with a new pump but no power to it. we checked the fuses and they seem to be working.

I work on having definite facts. You state you and friends "messed around" with the pump, what did you do ? Does the fuse have power or not, it "seems" to is too vague. How was the test made? Is the pump a known good pump? There was something that happened to cause the power to be there for the old pump and when the new pump was installed, that there was power at the pump should not have changed.
Something else happened, recheck the basics, reinspect the fuse, the relay, the connection at the pump. I am standing by.

well my dad and i pulled it out and checked the filter and the lines when it was at a friends house. I had my relay changed about 2 months ago.
the fuses are getting power. So today we took the pump out and reinstalled it and then checked the lines and filter again. and it started but i dont think the real problem is fixed.

this is the way i see it :
Think of A starter that wont start so they hit it that shake the brushes and make the connection and the car start ,how many times no one knows.
So by you removing the pump you must shaken those brushes and made contact and the car start

Did you install a new or used pump? If you installed a used pump then you take the chance of buying someone else's problem. New pumps are available online at realoem.com
