I have a 2002 325 IT.
Lately when the car is hot inside and the A/C is at full tilt to get the car cool (the a/c set to Auto / Temp 72) it blows ice cold as usual for about 3 mins, then completely shuts down for about 30-40 seconds and then comes back on. This will continue until the car is cold enough and the fan isn't blowing at full speed.
I have tried to manually use the fan at this time, by switching from Auto and pushing the fan button, but this does not help. I just have to wait for the cycle and the a/c will return.
Any ideas? Really more annoying than anything else, I am just afraid it is a symptom of a larger issue.
