Brakes problem

I just recently had my brakes replaced today and once I got my car back the ride was extremely bumpy. Considering the car is a BMW you can tell the difference between a smooth ride and a bumpy ride. The car would bump even on smooth road conditions and I am not for sure what the problem may be. I am thinking maybe the mechanic did not put the brakes back on properly after the brake replacement but I have NO clue. I am trying to understand why the ride is now so bumpy all the time even though the road I drive on has no bumps at all. Please help!!
