2002 BMW 325 A/C stops blowing air all of sudden

A/C in my 2002 BMW 325xi stop blowing air all of sudden. Sounds like the compressor kicks on but no air? Then after driving for sometime everything starts working fine.

Sometime back I had "Service Engine Soon" indicator and I took the car for diagnostic. They told me that thermostat seems to be a problem and asked me to replace that whenever I get sometime. After driving for few miles that indicator went off and I didn't bother to replace the thermostat and that indicator has not come back on since then.

Could that be a problem.

Also, my 75000 miles service is coming up. Do you have a list of items that needs to be replaced or checked as part of 75000 miles service?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first issue with your car will require replacement of the final stage unit, it is the thing that controls the fan speed, the part# is 64-11-8-385-549. It is located behind the heater box and will require removal of the glove box. The Service Engine soon lamp may not be on now, but if there is a fault for the MAP thermostat, it will require replacement at some time if you live in a region that requires emission testing, part# 11-53-0-139-877. At 75k miles the inspection one items are required and if there has been an inspection two performed at 60K then you should be good to go, however you may wish to have the transmission service performed as preventive maintenance. I want to acknowledge your desire to have up to date maintenance issues resolved with your BMW as there is often a lack of care shown by some owners and then when something happens they act surprised and/or play the blame game. CODES OX A8, OX D1 MAIN CODE PO128.

Thanks for the feedback. The P0128 code is the MAP thermostat fault and the others may well be secondary issues and are likely to not need attention after the T-stat is fixed, codes cleared and driven for a drive cycle or two.
