Just curious if it's normal for the PCV to crack causing oil to flood the engine and burn through the exhaust? Also, wondering if there was a recall on the part because now they seem to have changed the part with some kind of insulation around it to avoid cracking.

I don't know about the recall, but if you google ntsb you can get recall info on all cars.
