2001 BMW 325 Replace Catalytic , engine turns but wont star

2001 325i automatic,start loosing power, I turn the engine off and notice the Catalytic Comverter was RED HOT. Tow it home and replace the Catalytic Comverter #2 for a brand new one. Now the engine turns but don't crank . The check engine light is NOT on.Is there any Emergency Bracker Switch in this Vehicle ??? What can it be ??? Please help ...Thank You ...
