Can you tell me how much tranmission fluid should be in a '87 BMW 325i automatic?
The transmission stopped working and I have another transmission to put it in but haven't had time yet. I started the car up today to check the fluid levels and backed up a little bit and it was pulling fine until it warmed it then stopped again. It'll go in forward the same way, just fine changing gears until it warms up. After if stops, I can shut off the car for about 10 minutes then start it again and it'll pull it again until it warms up.
Could it be torque convertor, power bands in the transmission or the transmission fluid filter in the transmission in the transmission pan?
