Dear carpros,

Absolutely nothing had gone wrong with my car till today when i tried turning it on for the second time i used it today...when i turned the key, the ignition process began from off to accessories and then i felt a little pressure and then a release as if something inside broke by force...The car is now stuck in the accessories part of the ignition and turning the key will no longer do anything...I had to disconnect the battery so it wouldnt drain it, if i reconnect it the car is still in accessories...Before taking it to a shop, can you please help me...im hoping something just got stuck...i read some of your other postings on the subject and its not the lock tumblers for the key lock will only turn with the car key

It will require replacement of the internal mechanical assembly inside the steering column, it is a normal failure for E-36.
