I have fully charged the battery, it was purchased in 11/08. The starter and the alternator are bosch remans from bosch. The bendix will not extend on the starter. Bosch is sending a replacement. Do you think the wiring connection is faulty fron the alternator to the starrter is faulty. This is the third starter that has burned up on the test drive. You can see my previous posts. I have a 'no gen' condition on the car. If you think the wiring from the alternator is the problem, could you let me know which pos connections on the starter is coming from the alternator? If I must rewire the vehcile this will help.

If you have a digital multi meter then what I would like you to do is connect it between the black wire with the yellow stripe at the starter and ground. Now with the meter connected set it on 20 volt scale and turn the key on to the start posistion does it have battery voltage? If so then it is probably the starter.

I think you may have misunderstood the question. The starters I have installed are good, tested at supplier. I test the current with a multimeter before I finish installing the intake manifold. I button up the car and take it for a 3 mile test drive. At the end of this the car will not start. I remove the starter and take it back to napa and they say it is bad. This is the third time it has happened. Also the battery light is on and I am on the fourth alternator to remedy this. I am at my wits end with this problem.

Just because it says Bosch remanufactured does not mean it is good. I think there might be something else going on and I think you might need some local professional assistance, trying to diagnose a starter/charging system issue from cyberspace could prove quite complicated.
