My car shifts hard but stops after 10 minutes.... but comes back whenever i stop at somewhere and drive the car again..... sometimes when i go to work in the morning it shifts hard all the way to work...but on my way home it stops shifting hard... i took the car to get the codes read...
and i have: Electrical thermostat fault...
bank 2 control deviation....
misfire cylinder 5...
crankshaft position sensor...
segment measure engine...
ignition circuit zk4 side front left...
ignition circuit zk8 head front left...
ignition circuit zk10 battery unplug1....
internal ecu error...
94 can: incorrect data from dme....
ce ambient air temperature...
thermal oil level sensor...

the tcm could not be read... took it to an electric and said it has all signals but it will not get read... i also have an alarm badly installed since lights dont come up whenever i lock or unlock the car... or even when alarm goes off.... could it be the problem??? or could one of the fault codes be the problem to the hard shifting or tcm?

The alarm should go away. The communication bus is probably being killed by it.

is there another possible solution... other than the alarm? i will take the alarm off tomorrow

i went to a shop and paid to get scanned. i think its something electrical, but i need help in figuring out what exactly

Was there any information provided by the shop that did the scan. Also, what method did they use to scan the car? Was it a GT-1 or Autologic or what exactly.

they used an orange rectangle scanner...not sure what type....

Sounds like a "brick" or rather, generic scan data. It also supports my theory that the communication bus is corrupted somehow, perhaps an attachment to what the "installer" might have thought to be a ground, was really a bus wire, who knows. These repairs often require specific scanning equipment to uncover the root cause. I recommend you seek out a BMW technician, do you have a local chapter of the BMW car club? They can be a good place to start for a recommendation.

i havent even seen a bmw club around here ha ha.... and i know there are some but...really far...
i went to this electric guy but all he said was " there is no signal from the tcm" and told me to go to BMW.... i already knew there was no signal from there...... and ha still charged me $65.... without scanning the car... do you think that if i get the alarm fixed.... and put all the wires to their places... it could be fixed? i havent taken it off because i do not want to mess up something else... but they charge me 175 to re-install the alarm.... what do you think? should i re-install correctly?

I have to say, you might have a problem I cant fix from cyberspace. If there are no BMW specific shops where you are, you may be faced with a dilemma. I dont not have a clear enough picture of the issues at hand to render a proper diagnostic path.

well...what happens is.... sometimes the car shifts so hard that it feels like someone hit the rear bumper. even when it shifts down. but some other times it acts normal. thats why i know it is electric. it sometimes shifts harder than other times....
