there is a whirring/whining noise coming from the front of my engine.whne i accerate it picks up when i decelerate it slows down,when the car warms up it seems to become much less noticable.i have owned this car for 5 years, i have not replaced any belts, i have not replaced the water pump. could it be belt pully's?

The problem might be the cyclone separator(AKA the pressure regulating valve) has failed and will require replacement. P/N 11-61-78-501-566. You can be sure it is the valve if you disconnect the hose at the valve cover and hear a honking noise. This is a straightforward repair and might also require replacement of the connecting line as they can become brittle with age, P/N 11-61-7-504-535. Both parts can be priced at Realoem.com ♥
