I have A 2000 BMW 323IC and the Radiator has a clutch fan behind it, I got the car a few months ago and the specs. say it should have a electric fan, is the clutch fan ok to keep and if so does it suppose to run when ever the engine is on, all the time . Also it does have the AC fan in front of radiator but it doesn't work ,not sure if I need It Also.Thanks Bill

If I understand your question, there is a clutch fan that is engaged and is spinning the fan at full speed all the time, correct? And there is an auxiliary fan for the air conditioning condenser that does not work at all, even when the A/C is on, is that correct?

Yes the fan spins whenever the engine is running, the same speed as the engine /water pump it is attached to. Also yes the A/C Fan was working but not now, it just stop working my plan is to replace the A/C fan , But my question is the clutch fan working correctly and is this right for my car since it supose to have an for a electric fan, can it do any harm to car ?

The clutch engages the fan when hot and it is there to allow cooling when sitting in traffic. When you are at speed the clutch should not be engaged. The auxiliary fan should be on whenever the A/C is on, sometimes it takes a few moments to activate. If the temp gauge on the dash is reading normal, damage is unlikely. As to if it is supposed to have an electric fan only, I don't know. Send the last 7 of the VIN and I will check the vehicle application database.
