my car a bmw 318 I model 1993 E36 automatic hesitates during acceleration when on full throttle (the RPM is around 2.5 dosnt go higher) and the car appears to be shut down the engine then when i remove my foot for 2 seconds and then put it back on all goes well

I also have this exact same problem and almost exact same car. Did you figure out the issue? If so, what was it?
