1998 BMW 316 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I own a 1998 BMW 3 series and lately it has developed some kind of electrical fault.If I leave my car for 48hrs its ok,but any time over that it will not start,No ignition lights or nothing.Lately it has been doing this when it rains.I have bought a car battery booster and the car starts first time.I have renewed battery twice and this is not the problem,the alternater has been tested with no fault found.I left my car for 12 hours and the heavens opened and it would not start yet again.Could you please give me some advise as I am totally lost.THANK YOU
