Normally this is due to a shorted starter but your main fuse is the 80 amp fuse that is after the 12 volt feed to the starter so I would expect the start fuse to blow if it were the starter.

The best way to figure this out is to actually put a smaller fuse then the 80 amp in line for each of these components. Then start the vehicle and the component that is causing the issue will have that fuse blow rather then the 80 amp fuse. Then we know what is causes it.

Take a look at the wiring diagram below for where to place these fuses. You can just literally cut the wire at each one of these parts and then install a single fuse holder that you can get at any parts store.

Otherwise, we will have to start replacing all these parts and that can get costly and frustrating.

Let me know what questions you have. Thanks

Thank you. My husband thought maybe it was the starter, but now he can try to find it without blowing the 80 amp fuse. Thanks again. We'll let you know how it goes.

Sounds great. This could be a starter issue but as I said it is unlikely that it would blow this fuse.

Thanks for the update. Please let us what you find with this. Thanks
