I had chocolate milk looking oil while driving the car, it now dies on me. earlier it died and went to go start it back up and made some clunking noises and was bubbling chocolate milk from the valve cover gaskets. the engine still turns over fine but I am afraid to run it. I am going to do the head gasket job, but want to know if there is any kind of way to clean the bottom and good enough to save it without replacing anything or can I replace the rod and main bearings without breaking it down by just taking off the oil pan and loosening the main caps?

when head gsket is replaced drain all oil then replace it and filter, clean all parts as well. then run engine and change oil again after a few minutes.

your image didn't show up or just part of it did. if you have have a turbo make sure oil lines are not leaking and use reinforced one for pressure that is the type that has steel braid around it. if sending unit leaks then just replace it . also after all the milky stuff is out of oil switch to synthetic oil especially with a turbo.
