Blower motor resistor not working as should

The temperature knob remains on high all the time.

Do you mean the blower motor remains on high no matter what setting is selected?

Do you have manual or automatic climate control?

Okay, this may be a bad blower resistor and it may be shorted to power. I attached a wiring diagram for you as well as the procedure for replacing the resistor.

The part is called the amplifier and is located by the blower under the dash on the left side. I attached a picture of the location for you to view.

If this is bad, it will provide power to the blower when it does not need it. That is why the blower is always on.
