Assuming this is a manual system and you haven't stated that, the resister get's it's power on the orange wire from the 30amp HVAC fuse in the underhood junction box.

The circuit is very simple. You should be using a test light and test for power on both sides of the fuse I told you to.

OK, we're just going in circles here. I don't think you really tested this. One of the points I asked you to check was at the resister.

If you have power on both sides of the fuse but not at the orange wire at the resister, then that orange wire is broken somewhere between the fuse and the resister because it's a straight shot.

alright so this is what ive found the orange wire from the fuse panel goes to the ignition and has power where it is soldered to the switch I haven't got the switch off yet. I went back to the resistor to chase the orange wire from there and it doesn't appear to go back to the fuse box it has another conector at the other end of it for rear air which my truck does not have...sorry if I get pissy from time to time wiring is not my forte with cars I can do everything else no problem but wiring sends me to a pissed off place

I can see that. I don't know what switch you are talking about. The orange wire goes directly fo that fuse to the resister.

Look, you're chasing the wrong fuse. You're not even in the right fuse box. I clearly told you the HVAC fuse in the underhood fuse box.

I don't think u understand what im sayin neither organge wire goes to either fuse box..if I disconnected the ground wires at the top of my dash then the entire resistor harness would come off the truck completely

Look, I gave you very simple instructions for a test that should have taken 5 minutes total. Nothing had to come apart. You not only ignored my instructions, but you have half the truck apart and now you want to argue with me about how the truck is wired. I'm betting your whole problem is nothing but a blown fuse. I'm posting a diagram of the fuse box with the correct fuse circled.
This is my last post.

I have replaced every single fuse..and checked them after and they are still good..im not ignoring ur instructions I have done them. im telling u the wire going to the resistor is not contected to any other wires..if u cant help me then fine I understand that but I just don't understand u getting mad im the one that's fighting this thing...and if ur so pissed then tell me why if there is a organge wire coming from the fuse panel under the hood then why can I take the resistor harness completely off the truck with out cutting any wires....they are attached to nothing

ok problem has been solved..found the wire from the fuse panel that I thought was going out the top of the fire wall to be a plug that got lodged behind the box I guess when someone either replaced the heater core or the top of the heater box..got it unlodged pluged it to the resistor harness and boom power to the fan on all speeds
