We bought a police interceptor listed above a week ago. I noticed tonight that the right rear blinker was operating way too rapidly. Removed both rear lenses, both bulbs were highly silvered, blocking view of filaments. Changed both rear bulbs, still same problem. The other 3 work fine, and with the hazard flashers on, the other 3 are still the only ones working. All other lights on the car work fine. Now, I’m guessing, (correctly?) that it must be a flasher or something similar that’s causing the problem. But, I’m unable to figure out where it’s located. I’d also like to at least know what it looks like before I go to buy one. As well as what it’s actually called. I appreciate any help you can give. Bob

Hello,

I have included the wiring diagrams for your vehicle's exterior lighting system in the diagrams down below for reference. Is your Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or "check engine" light illuminated?

Thanks,
Alex

Try unplugging your battery and waiting 3-5 minutes before reconnecting it. The body control module has field effect transistors that act as internal fuses that will trip if there is a blown bulb or a short circuit so the only way to reset the transistor is either unplugging the body control module or taking away the power. Let us know what happens.

I have a almost the same issue except mine is with the front turn signals. For one reason or another both LED front turn signals will randomly stop working some times just the left or just the right. The other night the right one started acting like it was having a power shortage flickering from bright, dim, off and so on for about 10 seconds. when probed both show power getting to them it's just the LEDs wont light up or randomly chose to work or not. Do you guys bu chance know what could be causing it?

Hello,

I would check the fuses on the BCM #15, 23, 24 and #9 if they are okay it sounds like the BCM is going out which is common, to confirm the failure you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon for about $36.00.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

Amazon CAN scanner link for about $35.00.

Here is how to change the BCM out in case you need it and the fuse locations as well. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
