Blend door actuator not working

Good morning,

This sounds like an issue with the control panel itself. The signal from the panel is what makes the blend doors work. You will need to check the connector at the blend door motor for a signal with a voltmeter to see if the control head is sending a signal.

There is not a fuse or relay in this circuit.

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view. Verify you have power to the actuator. You need 6 volts to the motor.

Most likely this is going to be a control head but needs to be confirmed by checking for signals.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
3. Remove the front floor console if equipped.
4. Remove the HVAC control assembly mounting bolts.

in the fuse box, what is the low blower and high blower fuse for.
I was trying to remove the panel surrounding the HVAC head unit but its not budging. I see the clips have come out but it is still hard to pull out. If you can send me a diagram of everything I need to pull out. Maybe I'm missing by a screw or a clip. Thanks.

They are blower motor fuses.

Attached is the picture. There are 2 screws that hold the trim plate.

This is not my model. My Buick Regal LS 1999 has the panel that runs all the way to the floor and attaches to the shifter. There are 2 screws behind the unit by where the gas/brake pedals are one on the left and one on the right.

Can you give me a picture of the control panel? I see the shifter cover off.

the second and third pictures are from the sides of the panel.

There are bolts on either side but the panel for your model the console has to be removed. then you will have access to the control head.

In your diagram, I don't see the shifter, does the shifter need to be removed also?
So after removing those 4 bolts inside the panel as in your diagram, it's one whole piece that comes out.

The console will come up without removing the shifter itself. The shifter will remain.

So the reason I couldn't remove before is because I never removed those 4 screws pictured in your diagram. When I remove those 4 screws, do I have to take those metal brackets out or just leave them in there?

You can leave it there. There are 2 bolts to the bracket from the console. The other 2 just hold the bracket to the floor.

Oh, so I don't need to take the ground bolts out and the console will just pull out.

That is correct.

No, a parts department would have that information.
