Hi,

The actuator is under the dash on the right side of the vehicle, mounted to the HVAC box. For replacement, I attached the directions specific to your vehicle below. Additionally, here is a link you may find helpful. It explains how in general one is replaced.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Thank you for the reply. Is the location of the components the same for the 2016 Express Cutaway?

Do you have a bigger diagram that shows approximate location of the actuator?

Hi,

That's the only pic I have. I didn't mention it in the post above. Number 1 in the pic is the actuator. It will be on the side of the HVAC box. You should be able to access it from the passenger side under the dash. Note that I say passenger side, but it is close to the center.

Let me know.

I opened up the dash and I am seeing a steel plate that was welded. It seems like I can't take it out for me to access the HVAC box.

Hi,

I believe you have to remove the knee bolster bracket. Take a look at the pic below. I copied your pic and circled the part I'm referring to. Once that is out of the way, you should be able to access the box.

Additionally, I attached the extremely vague directions below. That bracket is held in by 4 screws. Take a look and let me know if it helps. Once the screws are removed, gently pull it away from the panel.

Do me a favor. Before you go to this trouble, confirm it will allow access. This is what is indicated in the manual. If it doesn't, let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Thank you! Worked like a charm. I replaced the actuator, and the A/C is good as before. I truly appreciate your help.
