The truck Chevrolet Avalanche is emitting black smoke. I have changed the injectors and put in new spark plugs yet it is still emitting black smoke.

Hello,

This could be a problem with your upstream O2 sensors. Black smoke is usually produced when your vehicle is getting too much fuel and is running extremely rich. Is your Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or "check engine" light illuminated? If so could you pull the codes for us? Regardless, I have included a couple of links below for you to go to. One is a guide dealing with black smoke and the other is a tutorial on how to pull Direct Trouble Codes (DTC)(s) or "codes" from your vehicle.

Please go through these guides/tutorials and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
